Part 2.. and it just keeps getting better!

And so it really was a Sweet 16 for me- a really, really unexpected one. I had many early birthday surprises and late birthday surprises. But no celebrations on the day itself, but still many well wishers on my Facebook, and on the NDFan Forum- thanks! I didn't even realize it was my birthday until my brother came into my room the morning itself to wish me.

So let's start with the earlier surprises.

I 'celebrated' my birthday early this year, at the CIMB Malaysian Open. The fact that my mom agreed to let me go to the event was a huge surprise in itself. My friends Nancy popo and Initial L (she asked to be nicknamed that...) They paid for my RM30 ticket for the finals. And I went early and got one of the best seats in the grand stand. No photos of me at the event, but here's a photo of that poster thing I took home. And now you don't have to fret about what I want for my birthday.. just the same one every year please! *wink* Thanks gals!My brother also gave me my birthday present earlier. After all, what's the use of keeping the present when the person could be using it.. His present was a pair of ear phones.. that couldn't fit my ears(sorry laa..)

And my friend Chi Wern gave me this cute lil teddy bear today.. awwwwOk. So school is one aspect of my life- and then there's the Nicol David one.

Having been on Nicol David Online.com for quite a few years, I've had all the joy and privilege to meet many amazing people, some just by passing, and of course, those others whom I chat with regularly now.

But here's an unexpected one.

David Hope Kaye. know him? I sure didn't.

David was the MC during Nicol's LA trip earlier this year. He joined our Facebook group sometime ago, and we exchanged a few messages, but only until we were added as friends- did I check out his website DavidKaye.com- and realized who he was.David, as it turns out, is a Canadian actor- who currently resides in LA- Hollywood! According to wikipedia(yea, he's famous enough to be on wiki! =P ), he is "better recognized for his work as a voice actor. His most well-known role is as Sesshomaru in the shōnen anime, InuYasha and as Megatron in 5 Transformers series". Videos of his interviews and so on can also be seen on YouTube!

From his website:
David Kaye is heard worldwide providing the voice for THOUSANDS of different broadcast projects including hundreds of national radio & television commercial campaigns including Coke, Wal Mart, Burger King, General Mills, Mattel plus network television including The Fox Sports Network, TBS Superstation, Fox News Network, Nickelodeon, and a huge variety of major radio and television stations across the globe. Kaye does voiceovers for countless characters in cartoon series, and audio book narration as well. He even appears in front of the camera from time to time.

Well, it sure is the closest I've gotten to Hollywood!

And to top it all off.. he wished me Happy Birthday!
and that wasn't the only celeb wishing me Happy Birthday this year! Coming in Part 3.
